Long Term Update 2: 2010 Hyundai Tucson Limited
At 7500 miles, the Tucson went in for its maiden maintenance, a very reasonable $58.90 oil change, full inspection, and tire rotation.

Long Term Update 3: 2010 Hyundai Tucson

The Tucson continues to show its potential as a viable alternative to the ubiquitous Honda CR-V, what with its roomy interior, comfortable ride, and impressive fuel economy all wrapped in an attractive, affordable package. There have been some complaints about the Tucson's lack of power, but the crossover's 176 horses are comparable to that of the CR-V (180).
Long Term Update 6: 2010 Hyundai Tucson
t the Hyundai Tucson's price range, value is the factor that is most critical to a crossover's success. There are so many crossovers with a price tag of $25,000-$30,000 that what differentiates one from the rest of the pack is the features. And the Hyundai Tucson has tons of 'em.
Verdict: 2010 Hyundai Tucson Limited AWD
In 2005, Hyundai introduced the first Tucson. At the time, the carmaker described the small 'ute as "a value-packed sport/utility vehicle that meshes with our buyers' active lifestyles." A half-decade later, and currently in its second generation after undergoing Fluidic Sculpture cosmetic surgery, the Tucson's original purpose remains unchanged.
Long Term Update 4: 2010 Hyundai Tucson Limited

Definitly a great value for the money, the Tucson is replete with features like Bluetooth audio controls, satellite radio, and navigation included at its affordable $29,590 as-tested price (not bad for the topline model with all the goodies). Around town, there's plenty of power available, but some staffers are of the opinion the engine lacks the oomph needed to easily pass cutthroat drivers on California freeways, and the engine note sounds increasingly coarse above 60 mph.
Seats are comfortable, and controls and features in the cabin are easy to use. Associate online editor Zach Gale logged that the Tucson's cousin, the Kia Sportage, has most of the same characteristics as the Hyundai, but they're wrapped in a more attractive package.

Toyota recall to affect 1.53 million cars worldwide and 30,000 in Australia
It may feel a bit like d'ej`a vu, but Toyota has just announced a worldwide recall affecting 1.53 millions cars, including some Toyota Avalon and Toyota Kluger models as well as Lexus GS300, IS250, and RX models. 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Shows a Little More Skin
What a tease; Hyundai's European engineers have decided it's time to drop some of the heavy camouflage off the 2013 Santa Fe prototype, mainly up front to expose the SUV's new snout while testing in the Alps.
Hyundai Keeps the Pressure On

After a spring/summer tour of U.S. dealerships, Hyundai announced it will import the new Equus flagship sedan here, beginning in summer or fall 2010. Target is the Lexus LS, though the keenly priced Equus (sticker is expected to be between $50,000 and $60,000) could also pick up some near-lux buyers left stranded by the disappearance of the Lincoln Town Car.
Although the South Korean version doesn't include groundbreaking technology like a Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series does, U.S.-spec models will include such equipment as adaptive cruise control. Launch powertrain is likely to be the new 5.0-liter direct injection version of the Tau V-8, which will drive the rear wheels through a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
First Test: 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
If you happen to be the oldest among a large brood of siblings, you might understand the Santa Fe's current predicament. Not too many years ago, it was the company's SUV Only Child, the recipient of Hyundai's undivided attention. Well, it's alone no more. Today, it finds itself squeezed between the smaller Tucson and the bigger Veracruz, as well as having to contend with that Kia clan of half-brothers, including the Sorento and Sportage. Many of which are quite good, too. What's a Santa Fe to do?

Car News Test DrivesBefore you and me see new models of cars or modifications of old one, they pass through the stricked control in laboratories, garages, on streets and platforms. Everything thing is called test drives. There cars are tested on a great number of points – power, safety, control, easiness of driving, protect from damages and other features. Tests can be made not only for the whole car, but for its separate parts also – wheels, air bags, hardness of base, suitiness of wheels to the type of road, protect from temperature and many others. For each, even smallest detail, scientists have couple of test.
In special laboratories techniques create situations and observe how car will show itself. How will these situations will influence passengers and driver.
It helps producers to identify all problems and disadvantages due to correct them before mass production. In case of low quality test drives, innocent people can be harmed.
While cars are tested instead of passengers, soft manikins are used. Numerous appliances are based on them, and at the moment of artificial crash it will memorize the force of hit, speed, possible damage on other characteristics, needed to be clarified.
When parts are tested they may be separated from the car structure or be on their place. These test also show what material is better to be used on this or those detail, how long will it serve and how it should be treated.
Kia Rio B-Spec First Drive
As I came up fast over the crest just before the sharp right-hander, I felt the race car begin to understeer away from me. "No worries," I thought, forgetting what exactly I was driving, "I'll just get on the power and get it straightened out." A tank-slapper later I was facing the other direction on the edge of the grass. I had just spun out on my first lap ever in a race car. A front-drive Kia Rio B-Spec race car, at that.
