First Test: 2011 Kia Forte EX
Regardless of the car in question, we auto reviewers can typically find at least one aspect of a vehicle we all agree on, but beyond that it's a crapshoot. In the case of the 2011 Kia Forte, we found three: It's a great value, it's surprisingly fun to drive, and it's utterly forgettable.
First Test: 2011 Kia Forte SX five-door
The Angelenos we encountered couldn't get enough of Kia's newest hatchback, the Forte SX. Dog walkers and people dining streetside peered and pointed at this people-mover. For a few seconds, their foreheads wrinkled and their eyes widened in wonder, trying to put a badge to the form.
Style Counsel: 2010 Kia Forte's Good Looks Prove Soul is No Fluke

Toyota's Scion division and Honda have a South Korean car company on their tails. Kia, known until recently for its cheap, boxy, outdated-looking small cars, has transformed itself into a styling powerhouse. While the Soul will look familiar to those shopping the Scion xB and Nissan Cube, and some angles of the Forte Koup will remind you of the Honda Civic two door, the fact is, Kia has quickly moved to the forefront of automotive fashion.
2010 Kia Forte Koup Type R Concept unveiled at SEMA show
Kia has just unveiled a new sports version of its Koup coupe at the SEMA car show in Las Vegas. The car was developed through Kia’s main racing partner in the US, Kinetic Motorsports. The first and most obvious enhancement is the presence of the matte paint finish coloured in the increasingly-popular dark grey. Other [...]
Kia Future Car Plans: New Amanti to Get RWD Platform From Genesis

Kia's next-generation Amanti will switch from front-wheel-drive to parent company Hyundai's Genesis rear-wheel-drive platform, Motor Trend has learned. The car is expected to launch after the new front-drive Optima, which is scheduled for next summer. The moves will further advance Kia's aggressive makeover, which has been boosted lately by the Soul youth-market hatchback and the recently launched Forte and Forte Koup (coming later this summer) compacts.
It should also provide some embarrassment to companies like General Motors and Ford, which have canceled rear-drive projects in recent years thanks to limited capital resources and concerns over fuel economy standards.
2010 Kia Spectra gets more power, sedan and coupe versions

The 2010 Kia Spectra is new from the ground up. The five-door model will be discontinued and a coupe will be introduced about two months after the sedan. The sedan will be powered by a 2.4L, DOHC four with an estimated 162 hp and 164 lb-ft of torque (estimates are based on the previous-gen Optima engine, which is said to power the upcoming Spectra).
First Drive: 2011 Kia SX Models

Kia is on one helluva roll. A fleet of new vehicles clothed in the latest Peter Schreyer fashion leaves no visible evidence of platform sharing with sister brand Hyundai.
2012 Kia Rio Spotted out on the Road
Like sister company Hyundai, Kia is in the midst of a new-product blitz that started a little over a year ago. Since the second half of 2009, the South Korean automaker has refreshed its lineup with a slew of new models such as the Forte Koup, Cadenza sedan, Venga mini MPV, Sorento, Sportage and Optima sedan.
First Test: 2010 Mazda3i Touring Sedan
As you've surely seen by now, the 2010 Mazda3 has hit the streets with a spring in its step and (literally) a smile on its face. The redesigned front end may be the easiest place to look if you're trying to tell the difference between a new Mazda3 and an older one. Up front, there's a large grinlike (yes, grinlike) area, said to allow for more cool air intake than in the previous model. And it isn't the only thing about the car that has changed: every bit of sheetmetal is new, in fact, and the chassis is now stronger and lighter. Wheelbase is identical, but overall length is up by a couple of inches. In addition, the interior has been given a significant redo, and the lineup benefits from a new engine and new transmission options.

First Test: 2011 Scion tC
The introduction of the second-generation tC a few years ago was significant -- until the FR-S arrived on the scene, the tC was the sole sporty offering in Scion's lineup. The front-drive coupe filled that role well enough, and only heightened its perception of sportiness with edgier body lines and a more potent engine for the second-gen model. But is that perception backed up by its performance? Based on the 2011 Scion tC we recently tested, we'd have to say no.

2011 Kia Forte5 First Impressions
Ann Arbor, Michigan - Introduced in 2009, the compact model brought in to replace the Spectra has nevertheless taken off. More contemporary and better equipped than its predecessor, at the end of the first quarter of 2010, over 10,000 Canadians had already snapped one up, a record compared to the Spectra's sales numbers.

Everything thing is called test drives. There cars are tested on a great number of points – power, safety, control, easiness of driving, protect from damages and other features. Tests can be made not only for the whole car, but for its separate parts also – wheels, air bags, hardness of base, suitiness of wheels to the type of road, protect from temperature and many others. For each, even smallest detail, scientists have couple of test.
In special laboratories techniques create situations and observe how car will show itself. How will these situations will influence passengers and driver.

Kia Rio B-Spec First Drive
As I came up fast over the crest just before the sharp right-hander, I felt the race car begin to understeer away from me. "No worries," I thought, forgetting what exactly I was driving, "I'll just get on the power and get it straightened out." A tank-slapper later I was facing the other direction on the edge of the grass. I had just spun out on my first lap ever in a race car. A front-drive Kia Rio B-Spec race car, at that.
